Timeline of Dick's Journey in Nigeria

ARRIVED IN NIGERIA
1978

The beginning of the road

Dick and Wanda moved to Nigeria. Launched Arthur Andersen & Co. as Managing Partner and built Andersen into one of the foremost Accounting & Consulting firms in Nigeria. The successor firms - KPMG Professional Services & Accenture (now Verraki), are today leading in Nigeria in accounting, tax related services.

1983

HBSAN

Dick helped to form the Harvard Business School Association of Nigeria

 

1993

NESG & Ikoyi Club

Became a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) & Technical Committee.
Appointed as Trustee of Ikoyi Club 1938.

1994

NESG & LBS

Retired from Andersen, helped establish the Nigerian Summit Group (NESG) and served as the first Vice Chairman.
Helped establish the Lagos Business School; and served on the Advisory Board, as well as the Faculty.

1997

African Capital Alliance

Became a Founding Chairman of African Capital Alliance (ACA).
Served as a member of the National Council of Vision 2010. Also served as Chairman of the Technical Committee of Vision 2010.

2001

Dick's First Award

National Honour of the Officer of the order of the Federal Republic (OFR)

2003

Another Award

Dick was conferred the Institute of Director award for Entrepreneurship

2004

Business Day Newspaper

Dick became the Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Business Day Newspaper.

2007

American Business Council

Dick setup the American Business Council and served as the First President of the Council.

2018

Retirement from ACA

Dick retired from African Capital Alliance
